Dow Jones Sustainability World Index includes Aberje associates

The Dow Jones Sustainability World Index released on September brought 28 Aberje associates. The 2018/2019 index has 316 companies from 24 sectors of the economy of several countries which stand out for their social, environmental, and economic management practices. The Index is one of the most respected rankings among investors worldwide to evaluate the sustainability practices of large organizations. The selection is led by RobecoSAM, a Swiss company specializing in sustainable investment, which evaluates companies based on their public disclosures and transparency of their approach to sustainability.

Some 3,400 companies were invited to participate in the last evaluation through a questionnaire that covers economic topics, such as executive compensation, tax policies and shareholder rights, to environmental and social issues such as environmental management and performance, corporate social engagement, satisfaction the customer, among other dimensions.

The twenty-eight Aberje associates included in the Index are 3M, Abbot, AbbVie, Ajinomoto, Alcoa, Alstom, Banco Bradesco, Banco Santander, Baxter International, CNH Industrial, EDP, Embraer, Enel, Fibria, General Motors, Itaú Unibanco , Latam, Novartis, Pirelli, Praxair, Samsung, Sanofi, SAP, Siemens, Sodexo, Solvay, Unilever and UnitedHealth Group. In addition to our associates, Banco Bradesco, Itaú Unibanco and Embraer, four other Brazilian companies are present in the Index: Cemig, Cielo, Itausa and Lojas Renner.

Launched in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index is the first global index to list the world’s leading sustainability companies based on the analysis of environmental, social and corporate governance (ASG) issues.
