Adriana Waltrick, CEO of SPIC Brasil, one of the largest private power generators in Brazil, is ahead of a new challenge: as an Impact Leader, she will act as a spokesperson for one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): peace, justice, and effective institutions (SDG 16). Her mission is to influence executives, organizations, and society to adhere to the transformation agenda led by the United Nations.

The Impact Leadership program was created by the UN Global Compact’s Brazil Network. Executives who understand the importance of sustainability and develop ways to insert the SDGs into the management of their organizations participate in this initiative. Rede Brasil considered SPIC Brasil’s involvement with SDG 16, the reputation of the CEO and the company, and the engagement in the agenda of initiatives and proposals for the country developed in partnership with the Network.

Since 2019, SPIC Brazil has been a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact. This initiative aims to mobilize the business community towards a fairer, more egalitarian market, with respect for the environment and engaged in the fight against corruption. The construction of the SDGs is part of the Global Compact’s agenda. As an ImPacto Leader, Waltrick has a unique opportunity to influence CEOs and mobilize companies.

“I lead a company that believes that corporate management in the fight against illegal practices is essential for an intact and healthy environment. Therefore, we are always looking for opportunities to promote a culture of ethical principles and integrity to our employees, partners, and suppliers,” said Waltrick.
