Ericsson, Vivo, and Raízen open call for IoT startups for agribusiness
A call for startups for the Agro IoT Lab 2018 program was launched by Ericsson, Vivo, and Raízen. The initiative, which aims to develop applications for agribusiness focused on Internet of Things (IoT), has the participation of Wayra and Pulse and EsalqTec. The idea is to attract solutions and technological products on IoT, energy, hardware, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learnig, SaaS, Big Data, Cloud Computing, E2E (end to end), among others.
“We believe that technological leadership is only complete if it is used to improve society. This agreement has already brought together major players in the industry, each with their own leadership and expertise, and will now be even more comprehensive by bringing startups to extend the use of our mobile networks and internet platform of things in the agricultural sector,” says Vinicius Dalben, VP Strategy at Ericsson.
The ten selected startups will have access to the shared space of Pulse, located in the city of Piracicaba, in the state of São Paulo, and all its infrastructure of mentoring, workshops, networking, training applied to agribusiness, and have the possibility to participate in the Wayra ecosystem with mentoring, workshops and training applied to the business. The companies will be accompanied by Wayra and, if it makes sense to both sides, they will be able to receive investment in the future. EsalqTec will assist those selected in the academic facilitation of technologies.
