Fernando Sampaio takes the general management of Sanofi Brasil
The executive returns to the country after leading the company’s operation in Mexico and Portugal
Sanofi, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Brazil, has announced Fernando Sampaio as the new general director of its General Medicines unit and as country lead, responsible for its operation in the country, succeeding Felix Scott.
Sampaio has worked at Sanofi for 20 years, has held several strategic positions at the Brazilian branch, and has led the former Farma unit, which comprised the current General Medicines and Consumer Healthcare business units, between 2011 and 2015.
In 2015, he was appointed general director of the company in Portugal. After two years in Europe, he assumed the company’s leadership in Mexico, where he also held the position of general manager of Sanofi Pasteur.
“I return to Brazil with the challenge of continuing the accelerated pace of growth of all business lines in the country, as well as promoting and fostering initiatives for diversity, inclusion, and training of new leaders in the local operation,” says Sampaio.
