Toyota do Brasil Foundation works on environmental preservation and education of citizens

Founded in April 2009, Toyota do Brasil Foundation works on environmental preservation and citizen education. In addition to the new initiatives created with the new institution, Toyota do Brasil Foundation unified and expanded all the social responsibility projects that were underway, which were under the responsibility of Toyota Brasil, an associate of Aberje.

At the national level, Toyota do Brasil Foundation has sponsored the Toyota APA Costa dos Corais Project in partnership with the SOS Mata Atlântica Foundation and the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio), from the federal government. The project prioritizes the conservation of coral reefs and ecosystems associated with the marine manatee in an area of 413,000 hectares in the states of Alagoas and Pernambuco, in the Northeast region. In the Pantanal biome – in the Central-West region of the country – the institution supports the Hyacinth Macaw Project, which has been fighting for the preservation of the endangered bird for almost three decades. In the state of São Paulo, the entity promotes the Águas da Mantiqueira Project, a biodiversity conservation initiative.

The entity also has social actions implemented and maintained in the communities where the company has units, such as Indaiatuba, Guaíba, Porto Feliz, Sorocaba, and São Bernardo do Campo (SP). For more information, visit the Toyota Foundation Brazil website at www.fundacaotoyotadobrasil.org.br.
