ABERJE, with head

floor, inaugurated on October 8th. 1967, is a non-profit association
that works to enhance the performance and reputation, locally and
abroad, of Corporate and Management Communications - as administrative,
politics, cultural and symbolic function for strategic management
of organizations and the strengthening of citizenship.
The Association main actions are directed to
improving Information, Communication and Relationship: to further
friendship among companies, institutions, managers and researchers
with activities related to Corporate and Management Communications;
to establish and maintain propaganda vehicles that divulges the
Association’s knowledge and performance, by disposing a permanent
address to the associates; to bring together companies, institutions,
managers and researchers related to Corporate and Management Communications;
same idea concerning associations from other countries, especially
those of Mercosul (South Common Market), Alca (Americas ‘
Free Commerce Association), European Union, mainly Portugal and
the Portuguese speaking countries; to stimulate the relationship
among associated companies, and among them and the Association,
promoting the establishment of virtual and visual networks.
To promote meetings among the associates, the
experts of specific market areas and the community itself, thus
disseminating the ideas of the Corporate and Management Communications
– as well as sharing professional experiences. To develop
means for evaluation of the accredited works of the Corporate and
Management Communications people; to find companies that are standards
of quality and efficiency in this area; to stimulate the comprehension
of a Corporate and Management Communication as having administrative,
politics, cultural and symbolic strategic management function; to
offer to its associates a structured ensemble of indexes and the
qualifying process for an ISO certification.
The works running for Aberje award can’t
be evaluated by criterion linked only to shape, innovation and communicative
creativity. On the contrary, they must be linked to internal and
external daily organization management, shown by the company’s
social actions. In other words, the works can’t be just a
piece of fiction neither inform to whom the actions and the distribution
strategy are meant to, and how they rebound within people in general.
Knowledge and Innovation. To make associations and partnerships
with technical and high level teaching institutions; to spread all
knowledge acquired by Corporate and Management Communications in
Brazil. Information and New Technologies: to disseminate among the
associates and the society in general the capabilities and potential
use of information and new technology systems.
Companies and Communications
Nowadays, one of the facts that indicate the
company historic responsibility, is its worries in establishing
a permanent dialogue among target clients and the community, showing
its value and transparence. Dialogue means communication made with
ethics, with seriousness in handling the subjects and contribution
for the developing of the association – presented with industrial
and editorial skills.
The associates of ABERJE – Associação Brasileira
de Comunicação Empresarial are – private and
corporate people duly inscribed in the association, working in the
area or contributing direct or indirectly to that purpose. The associates
are classified into:
I. Effective Associates: private and corporate
People affiliated to the Association for a period not less than
12 (twelve) months.
II. Affiliated Associates: private and corporate People affiliated
to the Association for a lower period than 12 (twelve) months.
III. Honorific Associates: private and corporate People, elect
by Deliberative Council that have rendered good services to the
Association or have significantly contributed to the development
of the Brazilian Corporate and Management Communications.
ABERJE’s associates receive every three
months the magazine named Corporate Communication considered in
the local market as a reference leaflet for the Corporate Communications
area in Brazil. They also receive fortnightly, the newsletter Ação
Aberje, with factual covering of the most important Brazilian Corporate
Communication cases and ideas of the moment. The associates have
free entrance at the Communication Forums, held on a monthly basis,
with talks by managers of communication companies and institutions
having had outstanding actions. Besides all this, ABERJE offers
on a regular basis, recycling and up-dating studies specially created
for corporate Managers, with special prices for the associates.
